Hi

I have win2000 advanced server and would like to know how to get windows
2008 running on the same server. Do I upgrade or simply install and
overwrite existing operating system? The server itself has no data so it
can be overwritten.

Hi

You have two options to do what you want. You can upgrade the server from
windows 2000 or perform a clean installation. The options you choose is up
to you, depends of what you want to do. If you are going to use this server
with more servers that are not running w2k8, i would choose the update
option. If you want just to test the system, i would choose a clean
installation.

Hi Gorka

Thanks, it sounds like an upgrade will be better, I am going to download
this software as a Technet subscriber and see if this upgrade option is
available!
